Function
Triamcinolone is an acetate derivative of triamcinolone A. It's a medium acting glucocorticoid. Similar to triancilone, it has anti-inflammatory, anti-pruritus and vasoconstriction effects. The water and sodium retention effect is weak, and the anti-inflammatory effect is strong and lasting. The anti-inflammatory activity of 4mg of triamcinolone is approximately equivalent to 5mg of prednisolone or 20mg of hydrocortisone.
Applications
