Paeoniflorin is a pinane monoterpene bitter glycoside isolated from Radix paeoniae and Radix paeoniae alba. It is a hygroscopic amorphous powder. It is found in the root of Peony, peony, purple peony and other plants in the goldenseal family. The crystal toxicity is very low.
Paeoniflorin is hygroscopic amorphous brown powder (purity more than 90% is white powder), melting point: 196℃. Paeoniflorin is stable (pH2 ~ 6) in acidic environment, but unstable in alkaline environment.
